Special Constable Appointment for Enforcement of Legislation and/or Municipal By-laws

To become a Special Constable, one must be:

• 19 years of age,
• a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident, and
• an employee of the company requiring the service or the company contracted to provide the service.

If you are applying for a Special Constable appointment to enforce provincial/federal legislation and/or municipal by-laws you must use the following form, and submit your application to the address noted below. The Application must be accompanied by:

• two recent photographs (passport size preferred) or digital image saved to a disk, and
• a copy of a government issued photo identification card (copy of front and back). A valid Driver's Licence or Nova Scotia Identification Card is preferred. Identification must show applicant's date of birth and signature.
