Making a Complaint Against a Police Offier
Municipal Police Agencies
If you feel you have been treated improperly by a municipal police officer, or for any reason you feel an officer has not behaved properly, or you have a complaint against the police department generally you can file a complaint with the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner. Please note, you must make your complaint in writing within six (6) months of the incident which gave rise to the complaint.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
If you have a complaint, either oral or written communication, that criticizes the conduct of any member of the RCMP in relation to the performance of his/her duty or function, you can lay your complaint in person, telephone or in writing at any RCMP detachment in the province (link to our listing) or with The Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP.
