Going to School

Remember that Income Assistance is a program of last resort. You must apply for a student loan if the program that you want to take is eligible for student loans.

You may take training programs to give you the skills you need for the kind of work you want to do. You may also get help to pay the costs of things like registration fees, books, transportation, child care, other costs that relate to your needs. The program must be part of the action plan you put together with your worker, and a program that is approved by Community Services.
