You can download an application
form for this
Licence or you can get an application form
from any Regional or District
Office of the Department. After it has been completed, it
is submitted, along with the appropriate fee.
Applicants must successfully complete a course
of instruction, conducted by an outside agency, recognized by the Department,
before completing the application. A copy of the Certificate of
Completion must accompany the application.
If all requirements are met and the application
is approved by the Nova Scotia Environment, the licence will
be sent to the applicant by mail.

The licence is valid for 1 year from the date
it is issued. It can be renewed. Note: It is the responsibility
of the permit holder to contact the Department before it expires; NO NOTICE
of renewal will be sent out by the Department.
