Bear Bait Site Registration
| Who Needs This Registration? |
| | Anyone who wants to hunt bear during that part of the bear hunting season prior to the opening of the General Open Season for Hunting Deer, may only do at a bait site that has been approved by and registered with the Department of Natural Resources. During the portion of the bear hunting season that overlaps with the General Open Season for Hunting Deer, hunters are not restricted to hunting at a registered bait site.
A bait site established for the purpose of attracting bears for viewing/photographing, must also be registered with the Department of Natural Resources. A site that has been registered for this purpose, may not be used for hunting bears during the same calendar year. |
