Nova Scotia Well Logs Database

The NS Well Logs Database provides information on approximately 107,000 water wells in the province, dating from 1940 to 2007. The database includes information on well locations, geology and well construction, including the well depth and yield.

NS Well Logs Database Download:

The most recent version of the NS Well Logs Database, containing records up to and including 2007, is available for download at the links shown above. You will need Microsoft® Access 2000 (or compatible higher version) to run the database. If you are unable to download the database, a disk copy may be requested by contacting the Information Access Officer (e-mail: ENVaccess@gov.ns.ca; phone: 902-424-2577).

If you do not need to search the entire database, but wish to obtain a copy of an individual well log, access requests for a search of an individual civic address in the NS Well Log Database may be made through the Environmental Registry.
