During Environment Week and throughout the year, there are many things we can do to make Nova Scotia one of the cleanest and most sustainable environments in the world. Nova Scotia Environment is focussing on 21 goals to help us achieve this by the year 2020. These goals are legislated in the Environmental Goals and Sustainable Prosperity Act passed in April 2007 and are found on our 2020 Fact Sheet (PDF: 105k).
Recently, Premier Rodney MacDonald received a letter from a young Nova Scotian with her suggestions on how we can take care of the environment. Read an excerpt from Maggie’s letter (PDF: 145k). Visit the What we Do page, to explore Nova Scotia Environment’s work in addressing some of the suggestions in Maggie’s letter.
