Scaling School
When: October 17th - 21st, 2011
Where: 90 Research Drive - Nova Scotia Agriculture College Conference Centre - Administration Building - AgriTECH Park, Bible Hill, Nova Scotia.
This Scaling School is primarily intended for people with previous training and/or experience in scaling. Candidates may write the Stacked Wood Scalers Exam and/or the Log Scaling Exam. Candidates who complete the written exams and practical tests to the satisfaction of the Board of Examiners (Scaling) and who obtain the required scaling experience, will qualify for a Stacked Wood License, a Sawlog Scaling License or a Primary Wood Products Scaling License which authorizes the person to scale all primary wood products. Upcoming Refresher Courses
There will be two scaling refresher courses available this fall.

Where: Nova Scotia Agriculture College Conference Centre - Administration Building - AgriTECH Park, Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. The fee for the refresher course is $32.87 (HST included). To apply download the Application form and return with the applicable fee to the address below.
The Scalers Act requires all scalers to successfully complete a Refresher Course every five (5) years. Failure to do so will result in the scaler being placed on an "Inactive List". Inactive Scalers will not be permitted to scale wood in the Province. Scalers are requested to check their wallet cards for their expiry date.
