The programs offered through Department of Natural Resources are designed to help Nova Scotians make well-informed choices concerning natural resource use. Our programs are focused on woodlot owners, youth, Christmas Tree Growers, home builders, recreationists, hunters, and natural resource industries, but also reach out to all members of the public. Programs include school visits, workshops, seminars, woodlot management home study modules, woodlot field tours, interpretive walks, and Christmas tree grower information sessions. Most offer face to face learning opportunities, but some programs are offered as distance education opportunities. Some programs are also available in french. Check out our school programs offered through the Natural Resources Education Centre New Bookmarks promoting Sustainable Forest Mangement and Protecting Wildlife Habitat !
