Who Needs This Permit? |
| Anyone who wants to conduct a field trial for dogs in a wildlife habitat
area in Nova Scotia.

Application Forms & Process: |
| An application form can be obtained from the nearest Local
or Area Offices of the N.S. Department of Natural Resources.
When completed, it is submitted to the nearest Regional or Area Office.
If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the permit
may be sent to the applicant by mail, or they can pick it up in person.

Expiry & Renewal: |
| This permit is valid for the dates of the field trial only. It
is not renewable.

- Field trials are to be authorized only if they are held under the
auspices of a recognized provincial, national or international body,
such as the Canadian Kennel Club.
- Permission of the Landowner.

Additional Information: |

- No wildlife is to be killed except during open hunting seasons and
with proper hunting licences.
- Animals which have been pen reared under a Captive
Wildlife Permit (pheasant, quail, etc) may be killed using shotguns
only.
