Overview

A scenic camping and day-use park overlooking the Bay of Fundy.  Offers coastal hiking, shoreline access, picnicking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

87 campsites, open for camping from June to October.

Protection Values

A relatively large, undisturbed coastal area that contributes to the Province’s goal of protecting 12% of the provincial land base by 2015.  Two vascular plant species found within the park are listed as being critically imperiled, one as imperiled and one as vulnerable to extirpation or extinction.  One bird species has also identified as being critically imperiled.

Education Values

Regionally significant opportunities to interpret landscape, geology, tidal processes, forest ecosystems, cultural resources.  The park has been identified as an important location for the delivery of aboriginal cultural interpretive programs.

Tourism Values

Regionally significant tourism opportunity and landmark on the Bay of Fundy coast.  The park is an important public access point for experiencing the Bay of Fundy; significant for aboriginal interpretation; adjacent to Economy River Wilderness Area.

Outdoor Recreation Values

Camping, front country coastal and inland hiking; coastal access; snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
