About the Tribunal

The Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal is independent and operates separately from the Workers' Compensation Board (Board). The Tribunal hears appeals from final decisions of hearing officers with the Board.

The Tribunal is governed by the Workers' Compensation Act of Nova Scotia and is the final level of appeal within the workers' compensation system.

Policies

In an effort to improve efficiency and effective service, the Tribunal has prepared a practice manual. It contains all the current policies and procedures of the Tribunal.
