Telecom Services consists
of the following groups:
Operations Centre is the central
point of contact between users and CITO technical staff. The Operations Centre
receives and records calls from users and logs information into a ticket tracking system. They provide initial assessment of all incidents,
make a first attempt at resolution and/or refer to Tier 2 support. |

Telecom Consulting Group manages the telecommunications service
contract for local voice, cellular/wireless, paging, and long distance services
for all of Government.
The services include:
- Defining requirements for new telephone systems
- Placing orders with vendors to meet the telephony needs for voice, mobility, and wireless
- Coordinating moves, adds, and disconnects
- Troubleshooting for telecommunications issues
- Responsible for initiating the re-billing of services
Billing Consulting Group provides timely and accurate telecommunication
billing information for government. The Billing Group offers the following services:
- re-billing through a cost recovery system, paying the vendor and debiting the client
- handling billing inquiries
- developing billing formats to meet the customers requirements
