Real Property Services Section - Acquisition & Disposal
Acquisition and Disposal is responsible for real estate acquisition and
disposal services; including Government surplus real estate and road
investigations to determine legal status of public highways and roads,
and other real estate services such as appraisals and surveys.
Acquisition & Disposal is directly responsible for:
providing a wide range of property related matters; including land
claims in association with and compliant with the Expropriation Act (Department
of Justice - Registry of Regulations) and the
Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act and Regulations(Department of Justice - Registry of Regulations);

determines legal status of public highways;
providing expertise in matters relating to property appraisal,
negotiations, expropriation procedures, and transfer/sale/disposal of property.
