Drivers in Nova Scotia now have a quick, simple way to get information on highway conditions thanks to the new 511 highway information system. (more)


Winter Safety Tips for Motorists

  • Prepare your vehicle for winter travel: check tires; wipers; washer fluid level; antifreeze; and heater/defroster.
  • Clear all snow off your vehicle.
  • Watch for black ice, it can form any time the temperature dips below five degrees Celsius.
