Archives & Records Management Mandate
Functions include records management, archival holdings management and public and support services. Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management acquires and preserves government and private sector records of provincial significance and facilitates access to those records. It also develops policies, standards, procedures and services for effective records management in government and is the permanent repository of the records of public bodies. In addition it encourages and assists the professionalization of archival and records management activities within the public and private sectors.
