The Tourism Division of the Nova Scotia Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage is responsible for the administration of the Travel Media Relations program. The Media Relations Program contributes to Nova Scotia’s Tourism plan by fostering and maintain a strong relationship between the province and travel media from various markets so as to present the unique products and experiences we have to offer.
The Travel Media program has a long history of success in Nova Scotia, largely in part the participation of the tourism industry. In early May through the Regional Tourism Industry Associations and an email campaign, an accommodation inventory was created for our 2007 NS Media Fam Program.
To date 74 accommodations in Nova Scotia have agreed to participate in the program and we appreciate the support we receive as it helps expand our reach and build awareness. We would also like to send our thanks to the activity operators who continue to facilitate our writers as they explore our province.
