Approximately 5,100 vehicles were actively registered. This permanent plate numbering system remained in effect through 1917, although in 1912 the Law was amended to change the permanent registration fee to an annual fee. The highest known plate # of the 1907/17 system was # 6068.

For 1918, the Province began issuing license plates directly to motorists on an annual basis. All plates in use from 1907 to 1917 were now considered invalid.
