Do I have to come into an office to do this?
Applicants requesting a photo driver's licence or a Nova Scotia photo identification
card must appear in person at any Registry of Motor Vehicle office throughout
the province; all other transactions may be submitted by mail.
Applicants for a photo identification
card or a photo driver's licence who do
not already have a valid driver's licence or Nova Scotia identification card
must always produce required
identification.

Do I need a licence to do this? How do I get it?
The Nova Scotia Permits Directory database lists the permits, approvals and licences required by the provincial
government - as well as many required by the federal and municpal governments.
Do I have to inform the Registry of Motor Vehicles when I move?
It is required by law to advise the Registry of Motor Vehicles, in writing,
of any change in address within 30 days of your move. Complete and submit Form
1 to the Registry of Motor Vehicles at:

and new addresses via fax to the RMV at (902) 424-0535, or drop by any Registry of Motor Vehicles office.
