Anyone (usually Canada Post) who wants to place group mailboxes on a
public highway right-of-way in Nova Scotia.

| Application Forms & Process: |

An application form can be obtained from the nearest district
or area office of the N.S. Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.
When completed, it is submitted to the Area Manager.
If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the permit
will be sent to the applicant by mail.

|
3 to 5 business days
Provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received
|

|
This permit does not expire.

|
- This permit is required by the Canada Post Corporation before they
will place such boxes.
- Depending on circumstances, a "Breaking Soil
of Highways Permit" may be required.

| Additional Information: |
|
Sight distance (how far away the site can be seen by motorists) and area
for parking are prime considerations, as well as distance from intersections.
