Occupancy Permit

Who Needs This Permit?
Anyone who wishes to occupy a building, or portion of a building, that has undergone construction or renovations, since April 1, 1987. Also, after there is a change in the class of occupancy from one group of classification to another. With this change of occupancy, sometimes it may also be necessary to upgrade the affected building or portion thereof.

After a Building Permit or Change of Use Permit is issued and all work is completed and inspected, an Occupancy Permit is issued.
