Video Lottery Terminal Registration

Who Needs This Registration?
Anyone who operates an establishment in Nova Scotia with a class of liquor license which does not admit minors (or which has age-restricted areas) and who also wants to operate video lottery machines.

Application Forms & Process:
To get an application form:
1)  Download:  Amusement Form

Please note:  These forms are in Portable Document Format (PDF), which requires the FREE Adobe® Acrobat® Reader. If you do not have the Reader, you can download the program FREE of charge.
2) The applicant can also obtain an application form at:

When completed, it is submitted to that office.

A copy is forwarded to the Alcohol and Gaming Division for further processing.

When approved, the Alcohol and Gaming Division issues an official Certificate of Registration to the owner of the licensed premise.
Waiting Period:
Approximately 3 weeks, provided that all the items which must accompany the application have been received.
Expiry :
This certificate does not expire and does not have to be renewed annually. It remains in force provided there are no changes in the liquor licences or the ownership of the premises.
Price:
No fee
Related Requirements:
The establishment must be one in which minors are not permitted or, in the case of Special Premises and Clubs, the terminal must be located in an age-restricted area.
Additional Information:
Video Lottery Terminals are installed by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.

Legislative Authority:
Gaming Control Act, Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1994-95.
