Who Needs This Certificate?
Anyone in Nova Scotia who wants to operate boilers and/or pressure vessels needs this certificate to show that they have been installed properly.

Application Forms & Process:
An installation request is made to Labour and Advanced Education. If all requirements are met and the request is approved (subject to inspection), the certificate will be sent to the applicant by mail.
Waiting Period:
5 to 10 business days
Provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received
Expiry & Renewal:
This certificate does not expire.
Price:
Sliding Scale, dependent upon the size and type of the unit
Related Requirements:
Canadian Registration Number (CRN)
Additional Information:
This certificate covers installation. Periodic inspections and inspections of repairs are covered by the Boilers and Pressure Vessels: Certificate of Inspection .

As per applicable American Society of Mechanical Engineers Codes and Standards as well as related CSA Standards.
