Gunshow Permit

Who Needs This Permit?
Any dealer or individual who wants to sponsor a gun show.

Application Forms & Process:

You can apply by writing a letter directly to the Provincial Firearms Office of the N.S. Department of Justice. Please include all relevant details about the gun show and include the applicable fees (see Price, below).

If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the permit will be mailed to the applicant.

Waiting Period:
No more than 15 working days, once all items which must accompany the application have been received, and all requirements have been met. Allow several additional days for mailing time, coming and going.
Expiry & Renewal:
This permit is valid for 6 months from the date it is issued, depending upon the date specified on the permit. Once it expires, is is invalid, and once must get a new permit.
Price & Payment:  (No tax is charged)
$50

Send a money order or a cheque made out to the Receiver General of Canada.
