Deer Registration Form

Who Needs This Permit?
Anyone who has killed a deer while hunting in Nova Scotia must have this form filled out at a deer registration station or using the Online Deer Registration form, which officially registers the kill. For a list of these stations, please see the Nova Scotia Hunting and Furharvesting Summary of Regulations.

Where can you get this Permit and / or further information?
Authorized Vendors

OR

Any of the Local or Area Offices of the N.S. Department of Natural Resources.
OR

Consult the Nova Scotia Hunting and Furharvesting Summary of Regulations (which is available both in printed form and on the Department of Natural Resources website.)

Application Form & Process:
  When a hunter has killed a deer, they must attach to the deer the tag which comes with their N.S. Deer Hunting License.

The hunter must register the deer within 24 hours either by taking the deer to the nearest Deer Registration Station or by registering it using the Online Deer Registration form.

The Vendor who manages the Deer Registration Station then fills our the Deer Registration Form (which is then forwarded to the N.S. Department of Natural Resources)    If the deer is registered online, the confirmation number must be written on the Base Licence and Deer Tag.
