| Application Forms & Process: |
| Private Land Surveyors are required to advise the Director
of Surveys or his designate of their intention to carry out a boundary
survey of lands touching or bordering Crown Land prior to carrying out
any field surveys. The preferred contact is the local Regional
Land Surveyor's Office of the Department of Natural Resources.
Following initial contact with the Department, and the exchange of any
useful information, the private Land Surveyor can immediately proceed
with the survey of his client's lands.
Crown land survey information that would be helpful in carrying out
the survey of the adjoining property will be provided upon request and
as soon as possible after the initial contact is made.
A copy of the final survey plan showing any common crown boundaries
should be forwarded to the Director of Surveys. |

There is no waiting period after the Private Land Surveyor
has made contact with the designated departmental Surveyor. |

Provision of basic information is usually free. Requests for large amounts
of documentation, plans or field information may incur a fee to cover
material costs or in some cases, to comply with a designated fee structure.
