An application form can be obtained
from the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council. When completed,
it is submitted to the General Manager of the Council, along with a business plan and the applicable
fees.
The approval process may include a public hearing.
If all requirements and criteria for manufacture are met and the application
is approved, the licence will be sent to the applicant by mail.

90 business days
Provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received
(Please allow several extra days for mail delivery.)

| Expiry & Renewal: |
|
This licence is valid for 3 years
from the date it is issued. It can be renewed, and the renewal time is
3 years from the date it was first issued. The renewal process is started
by the Department, which will send a renewal form to the licence holder
before it expires.

Please pay by cheque or money order made out to the Minister of Finance.

Before the application can be
approved by the Natural Products Marketing Council, the facilities must be inspected by:
- The Food Safety Section of the Nova
Scotia Department of Agriculture;
and
- Agriculture and Agri-Foods Canada,
(Interprovincial Marketing)
