Nova Scotia Tartan (Production) Licence

Who Needs This Licence?
Anyone who wants to produce or reproduce in any form the Nova Scotia Tartan. ("Production" means any form of woven cloth resembling or claiming to be the Tartan in print, on paper, on the surface of cloth in any form whatsoever.)

Application Forms & Process:
The applicant must apply in writing indicating their intentions for the Tartan, the location of the manufacturer and the process of manufacture. A sample swatch of the Tartan must accompany the application. There is no application form, a letter will suffice.

If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the licence will be sent to the applicant by mail.
 
Waiting Period:
4 to 6 weeks, provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received.
 
Expiry & Renewal:
This licence is valid for 1 year. It can be renewed, and the renewal time is 1 year from the date it was first issued. The renewal process is started by the licence holder.

Initial Application and Annual Renewal:   $28.25
