Occupancy Permit

Who Needs This Permit?
  Anyone who completes new construction, or changes the use of a building or structure, receives this permit once the Final Inspection is approved as part of the Building Permit Approval process.

Application Forms & Process:
  An Occupancy Permit application is made out when applying for a building permit.  Once the application is approved, the permit is mailed to the applicant.
Waiting Period:
  After completion of project
Expiry & Renewal:
  none
Price & Payment:
  Non-refundable fee:  $10.00
Occupancy Permit:  $25.00
Related Requirements:
  Development Permit and if applicable, a Building Permit.  In some cases a structural designer and/or an architect may be involved.  Also a Building Plans Approval from Fire Marshal's Office may be required.
