You need a licence from the Town of Yarmouth if you plan to
operate as one of the following:
- auctioneer
- peddler
- hawker
- transient trader
- photographer
You also need a licence from the Town of Yarmouth, to operate the following:
- exhibition
- automatic vending machine

| Application Forms & Process: |

Upon payment of the applicable fee, the applicant receives
a receipt which authorizes that the activity complies. |
| Waiting Period: |
| |
Once the application has been received and reviewed by staff,
the permit is issued within 7 to 14 days. |
| Expiry & Renewal: |
| |
The permit is valid only for the time period specified on
it. Once it expires, it is invalid, and you have to buy a new one. |

Different fees are applicable pursuant to the type of use
or activity, for example: |

Development Permit, and, if applicable, a Building Permit.
In some cases a structural designer and/or an architect may be involved.
You may also need a Building Plans Approval (Office of the Provincial Fire
Marshal, Nova Scotia Environment and Labour). |
