Peddler Licence

Who Needs This Permit?
  Anyone Selling, peddling, hawking or trading goods within the Municipality of Yarmouth requires a Peddler Licence.  This Licence is also required for all door to door or roadside sales of goods except for persons selling products of the farm, forest or sea.  This does not apply to merchants with an established place of business within the Municipality.

Application Forms & Process:
  Applications may be obtained from the Bylaw Enforcement Officer, Municipality of Yarmouth. Applicants are notified by the issuance of a written license if approved.
Waiting Period:
  2 days
Price & Payment:
  Non-residents of the Municipality of Yarmouth:
Auctioneer:  $50.00
Hawker, trader, peddler:  $50.00
Magazine Salesman:  $50.00

Residents of the Municipality of Yarmouth:  $20.00

Expiry & Renewal:
  This permit is valid for 1 year from its date of issue. It can be renewed.
Related Requirements:
  None
Additional Information:
  Every licensee shall display their license on demand to any person when engaged in their trade or calling.
