Development Permit

Who Needs This Permit?
Any person in Victoria County who plans any new construction or who wants to change the use of an existing structure within the zoned area of the Village of Baddeck.

Application Forms & Process:
An application form can be obtained from the contact offices of the Municipality of Victoria County. When completed, it is submitted to the same office, along with the plot plan and the applicable fees.

If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the permit will be sent to the applicant by mail.
Waiting Period:
1 day to 1 month
Price:
$20.00
Expiry & Renewal:
This permit is valid for 1 year from the date it is issued. It is renewable.
Related Requirements:
The plot plan must be submitted along with the application form.

If the development is new construction, a location survey must be conducted once the footing is in place.
