Who Needs This Permit?
  Anyone who wishes to demolish a building or any portion of a building within the Town of Shelburne.

Application Forms & Process:
  An applicant may obtain the form from the Inspection Department, Municipality of Shelburne. A municipal Waste Information Sheet must be filled out with every permit application.
Waiting Period:
  The permit is issued within a few days, unless the property is Registered as a Heritage Property.
Price:
  $20
Expiry & Renewal:
  This permit is valid for 1 year from the date it was issued. It can be renewed each year for $5.00.
Related Requirements:
  It may be necessary to contact the Nova Scotia Power Corporation (re: disconnecting power), Dept. of the Environment (re: sewer connection, well on property), and Dept. of Transportation (if near a public road) and the Department of Natural Resources (for a burning permit between the months of April and October).
