Fence Permit

Who Needs This Permit?
 

Anyone who wants to construct a fence that is over 2 meters in height in the Town of Oxford.

NOTE: For fences under 2 meters, no permit is required.

Application Forms & Process:
 

You can apply at the office listed above, by filling out the permit document and paying the applicable fee.

After the appropriate fees have been submitted, and the permit has been reviewed by staff, you will be notified by mail.
 

Waiting Period:
 

Normally, this permit is approved within 3 to 5 business day.
 

Price: (No tax is charged)
 

0.1% of the total value or the work plus $5.00

You can pay by cheque or cash, made out to the Town of Oxford.
 

Expiry & Renewal:
 

This Permit is valid for 1 year from the date it is issued. It can be renewed. Renewal is not automatic; it is the responsibility of the Permit holder to contact the office before it expires.
