Footing Permit

Who Needs This Permit?
 

Anyone who has applied to build a new building, or an addition to an existing building, receives this Permit as part of the Building Permit approval process.

Application Forms & Process:
 

You do not have to make any separate application for this Permit; it is a part of the Building Permit approval process.

You have to provide a Location Certificate when the footing(s) are complete.
 

Waiting Period:
 

Once the Location Certificate has been received, and inspection is carried out for compliance and the work approved, the final Building Permit will be issued with 3-5 days.
 

Price:
 

Free (It is included in the fee for the Building Permit.)
 

Expiry & Renewal:
 

The Permit is valid for one year from the date it is issued. It can be renewed. It is the responsibility of the Permit holder to contact the Municipality before it expires; NO NOTICE of renewal will be sent out by the Municipality.
 

Related Requirements:
  The issuance of this permit is part of the Building Permit approval process.
