You can get an application form from the office
listed above. Complete the form, and submit it, along with the appropriate
fee and appropriate information (such as the type of building and the method
of demolition which will be arranged).
Applicants will be notified by phone or by mail when a decision has been
made.

| Waiting Period: |

Generally within 1 week. However, if the
building is a Designated Heritage Building, it could take up to 1 year.

| Expiry & Renewal: |
| |
This permit is valid for 1 year from date of
issue. Once it expires, it is invalid, and you have to buy a new one.

$ 20
Payment is by cash, cheque or money order made out to the Town of Lunenburg.

Approvals by the Traffic Authority, Municipal
Public Works Department, N.S. Department of Transportation and possibly
the local Electric Utility may be required.

| Additional Information: |

- All demolition shall be carried out in a manner to provide reasonable
safety to persons and property.
- If the demolition is to occur at or near the street or highway right-of-way,
the local Traffic Authority and the Municipal Public Works, or N.S.
Department of Transportation, must be notified.
- No exemptions from Provincial / Federal Regulations are allowed.
