Solid Waste Collector's Licence

Who Needs This Licence?
  Anyone who wants to engage in the business of solid waste collection in the Municipality of Cumberland.

Application Forms & Process:
 

You can get an application form by contacting the office above. Along with your application, please submit the following items:

  1. Copies of Vehicle Permits; and

  2. Written description of collection route and number for customers.

Additional information may be required.

The completed application can be submitted to the office above in person, by mail or by fax.

If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the licence will be mailed to the applicant.
 

Waiting Period:
 
  1. First Application: 3 business days

  2. Renewal: 1 business day

(Please allow several extra days for mail delivery.)
 

Price & Payment: (No tax is charged)
 

Initial Fee: $5.00

Renewal Fee: $5.00

Payment In Person: Cash, Cheque or Money Order, Visa or MasterCard
Payment By Mail: Cheque or Money Order
Payment By Telephone:

Expiry & Renewal:
 

This licence is valid for the period of one year, from January 1 to December 31 only.

It can be renewed; the Municipality will send out a renewal notice before it expires.
