Application Forms & Process:
To apply, you should make an appointment with a municipal Development Officer (see above).  It is possible to send in a request by mail, but it usually works much better if you apply in person. 

When you apply, you will have to provide a plot plan of the property, and explain your reasons for wanting the variance. You must also pay the appropriate fee. (See Price, below...) 

Depending upon the circumstances, other documents are sometimes required. 

After all required information and fees have been submitted, and the application has been reviewed by staff, the confirmation will be sent to you by mail.

Waiting Period:
Normally, 3 to 4 weeks of when application is made. (Please allow several additional days for mail delivery.)

This variance does not expire.
