Footing Permit

Who Needs This Permit?
 

Anyone who has applied to build a new building, or an addition to an existing building, receives this permit as part of the Building Permit Approval process within the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

Application Forms & Process:
 

You do not have to make any separate application for this permit; it is a part of the Building Permit approval process.

You have to provide a Location Certificate when the footing(s) are complete.

Waiting Period:
  Once the Location Certificate has been received, and inspection is carried out for compliance and the work approved, the Final Building Permit will be issued within 2-3 days.
Expiry:
  This permit can be renewed if necessary.

Free (It is included in the fee for the Building Permit.)

  The issuance of this permit is part of the Building Permit approval process.
