| Who Needs This Permit?
|
|
Anyone who wants to erect, construct,
add to, alter, or change the use or class of occupancy, or replace or relocate
any building or part of a building or structure within the County of Antigonish.
The major classes of occupancy are: (1) Group "A" Assembly,
(2) Group "B" Institutional, (3) Group "C" Residential,
(4) Group "D" Personal Service, (5) Group "E" Mercantile,
(6) Group "F" Industrial Division 1.2 or 3.

This permit is issued after the final
inspection of the building permit process.
The Building Official shall be notified when required construction, alterations,
etc., have been completed, in order to facilitate a final inspection and
the issuance of an Occupancy Permit.
Note: Failure to comply with all requirements could slow the Occupancy
Permit approval process.

| Expiry & Renewal:

This permit remains valid until
there is a change in the class of occupancy or until additions or renovations
take place which require a building permit. |
