The Legion Capital Assistance Program (LCAP) is intended to assist Royal Canadian Legions across the province with repairs and capital upgrades to existing buildings used to house legion events and community activities.

The program will provide 50 per cent of total eligible costs to a maximum of $10,000 for eligible projects.

The Legion Capital Assistance Program funding is pending 2012/13 budget approval.

Eligible projects include:

• necessary structural repairs to meet building code requirements
• roof repairs/replacement
• window/door replacement
• furnace/heating system replacement
• upgrades to bathrooms **
• on-site sewage systems
• wells and water treatment
• emergency situations at the discretion of SNSMR
