Dial-A-Ride - About
Inclusive Transportation Services

What is Dial-A-Ride Nova Scotia?

Dial-A-Ride Nova Scotia is a support network of non-profit, community-based transportation systems, located throughout Nova Scotia.  It is a joint initiative of seven Departments and Agencies:  Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations, Education, Health, Community Services, Transport & Public Works, Utility and Review Board, and the Disabled Persons Commission.

The Dial-A-Ride network was created in response to the pressing need for inclusive transportation services in Nova Scotia. Dial-A-Ride Nova Scotia offers a diverse range of personal transportation services to meet the needs of all Nova Scotians, including wheelchair accessible vehicles for persons with special mobility needs.

Dial-A-Ride Nova Scotia’s objective

The primary objective of Dial-A-Ride Nova Scotia is to interconnect inclusive transportation services that are safe, affordable, and accessible to all members in a community including disabled, disadvantaged, elderly and any other person in need of transportation.
