Vital Statistics

The Vital Statistics Division of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations is responsible for registration of vital events of birth, death, marriage, stillbirth and domestic partnership which occur in the province of Nova Scotia.

Vital Statistics Moving Locations

On Monday, June 4th, Vital Statistics will be open at its new location at 300 Horseshoe Lake Drive in Bayers Lake Business Park in Halifax, co-located with the Halifax Access Centre.

On Friday, June 1st, the Vital Statistics office at 1690 Hollis Street in Halifax will be closed. If you are requesting a birth, marriage or death certificate visit us online at www.accessns.ca/vitalstats
