Effective January 1, 2010 any demand side management charge amount shown on a customer’s electricity bill dated January 1, 2010 or later may be included in the calculation of the rebate. These changes may be called energy efficiency programs on your bill.

All electricity consumed on or after October 1, 2009, for residential purposes will be eligible for the 8% rebate. Base charges will be eligible for the rebate as well. If you are being billed at the domestic service rate, the rebate will be automatically deducted from your bill.

No, there will be no affect on heating oil, natural gas, propane, kerosene, firewood, wood pellets and coal.
