Anyone who wants to hunt with a bow in Nova Scotia.
One must be 12 years of age or older to get this certification.

Application Forms and Process: |
|
An application form can be obtained from the nearest Local
or Area Office or apply online at www.hmcgroup.ca/education/. The applicant must be 12 years of age or older.
Applications received between August 1 and December 31 will be processed
during the next calendar year. When a course date and location has
been set you will be notified in time to attend that course.
Instructions on how to proceed with your application are explained on
the application form. When the application is complete, it is submitted
to the Bowhunter Instructors Association of Nova Scotia along with
the required fee.
You must successfully pass the Bowhunter Education Course (see Additional
Information below).
If all the requirements are met, and the application is approved, you
will receive a Wildlife Resources Cardby mail which indicates that you
have Bowhunting Certification. If
you already have a valid Wildlife Resources Card, you will
receive a new copy of your card by mail which indicates that you now
have Bowhunting Certification.

Waiting Period: |
|
Upon the successful completion of the Bowhunter Education Course, you will receive a temporary student registration card, which is valid for 1 year from the date of issue. Your permanent Wildlife Resources Card will be automatically sent to you within 2-3 months of taking the course.

Price: |
|
Bow Hunting Certification Course: $40 plus HST.
Please pay by personal cheque or money order made
out to the Bowhunter Instructors Association of Nova. If applying online you will be asked to use a Visa or Mastercard. |
Expiry and Renewal: |
|
The Wildlife Resources Card, displaying your Bowhunter
Certification is valid for five (5) years, and can be renewed.
