Description of Organization: Futurpreneur Canada has been fueling the entrepreneurial passions of enterprising young Canadians since 1996. We’re the only national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. Our internationally recognized mentoring program matches young entrepreneurs with a business expert from a network of more than 2,500 volunteer mentors. Futurpreneur is a founding member of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance, the Canadian member of Youth Business International, and the Canadian host of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Futurpreneur Canada will seek funding in order to help young entrepreneurs start businesses. Futurpreneur Canada will encourage government to use resources to promote and support entrepreneurship as a viable career path and to encourage related skills development. Young entrepreneurs can address youth unemployment challenges by starting and taking over businesses, creating jobs and government revenues, and contributing to robust, sustainable growth. |
