Description of Employer's Business:
Michelin has been manufacturing tires in Nova Scotia since 1971 and has had marketing and sales offices established in Laval, Quebec since 1947. Mihcelin now operates three interdependant tire building plants in Nova Scotia (Waterville, Pictou, Bridgewater) and has a marketing and sales team based in Laval with representatives across Canada, and employs approximately 3600 people. In 2018, Michelin acquired Camso (now the Worldwide Business Line Beyond Road), which builds off-road tires, tracks, and track systems, bringing it's Canadian employee complement up to approximately 4000. |
