Description of Organization:
The Canadian Diabetes Association, operating as Diabetes Canada is the registered national charitable organization that is making the invisible epidemic of diabetes visible and urgent. Diabetes Canada partners with Canadians to End Diabetes through: 1) Resources for health-care professionals on best practices to care for people with diabetes; 2) Advocacy to governments, schools and workplaces; and 3) Funding world-leading Canadian research to improve treatments and find a cure. Diabetes Canada also offers summer camps for kids with type 1 diabetes and their families, and hosts diabetes education events across the country.

Description of Membership:
Regular members shall be entitled to: (i) if otherwise qualified, stand for election as a Director; (ii) submit to the Nominating Committee the names of individuals to stand for election as Directors; (iii) elect Delegate (Elected) Members; and (iv) vote on such fundamental matters as properly come before them, including, as appropriate, those matters referred to in Article 15. Privileges - Delegate Members shall be entitled to receive notice of and attend all meetings of the Delegate Members and to vote on all matters on which members of a corporation are entitled to vote including those specified in Section 4.1.
