Description of Organization:
Incorporated in 1891 via Nova Scotia's Dental Act, the Nova Scotia Dental Association serves and supports the dentists of Nova Scotia, promoting optimal oral health for all Nova Scotians. The NSDA's mission is "Helping dentists be better dentists in service to Nova Scotians".

Description of Membership:
All practicing dentists in nova Scotia are members of the NSDA. In addition, there are Associate members, Honorary Members and Life members of the Association. Beginning in 2012, all dental students at Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry are members of the NSDA. 2019/20 Officers and Directors: Dr. Joanne Thomas - President Dr. Nada Haidar - Past-President Dr. Chad Avery - President-Elect Dr. Jennifer MacLellan - Vice-President Mr. Steve Jennex, Executive Director (Ex-Officio)

The NSDA is currently eager to see oral health improved by initiating better access to care for seniors and children populations at risk, as well as enhancements to the children's dental program.   View
