Seniors' Councils and Clubs
Approximately 19 seniors’ councils and over 200 seniors’ clubs are active in Nova Scotia. Clubs offer a wide variety of programs and social events for local seniors. Councils are comprised of representatives from each seniors’ club. They serve as a forum for sharing information and addressing local seniors’ issues. Representatives of the seniors’ councils meet with the Department of Seniors at least twice a year.
